Here at Elevators Ltd, we’ve pulled together a few of the World’s most extravagant lifts, some of which would be more challenging to keep maintained. So here they are our top 5 favourite, out of the world lifts.
1) Luxor Hotel Inclined Elevator
This Las Vegas lift looks a bit like a pyramid and you wouldn’t be mistaken if that’s what you were thinking. This is one of the only pyramid styles lifts that travels at a 39 degree incline, giving passengers a view of the hotel’s monumental atrium.
2) Sky Tower
Now, if you have a weak stomach, then we would advise you not to travel in this New Zealand lift, especially if you have a fear of heights! This lift has a transparent glass bottom, which means passengers can see what lies beneath whilst travelling up 80 floors.
3) Lourve Elevator
The Lourve in a’ la Paris! This is an historical lift, even though it’s from the future. Passengers can travel in this open top, hydraulically powered lift smoothly and quietly.
4) Rising Tide Elevator
The Oasis of Seas Ocean Liner cruise ship, has the only bar combo lift in the world. This 35 passenger lift connects from the ships Central Park deck to the Royal Promenade in just 8 minutes.
5) Maritime Museum Birdcage Elevator
Located in the British Columbian Maritime Museum Canada, this 1899 lift is the World’s oldest operating birdcage lift in North America and we think it looks magnificent.
There you have it. Elevators Ltd favourite lifts! Lift maintenance can be more challenging in comparison to the bog standard passenger lifts that we use on a day-to-day basis, but we’re sure our lift engineers would love to carry out a lift service on these ones!
