How Can You Become a Lift Engineer?

A lift engineer is a highly skilled job. If you are thinking of pursuing this as a career you will usually need a degree in electronic, mechanical or building servicing engineering. Newly qualified lift engineers usually pay around £30,000, but an experienced lift engineer can earn significantly more.

If you want to become a lift engineering apprentice technician you can start with  NVQ Level 3 in lift engineering, Level 2 PEO (Performing Engineering Operations). Whilst technology is moving fast, buildings will always need lifts, so lift engineering has great career and employment prospects.
