This is partially true for the team at Elevators Ltd, we do have a strong and lasting love for lifts and if we didn’t, then we wouldn’t be able to successfully perform lift maintenance or a lift installation. However, the love for lifts goes beyond anything else for one person, and his passion has helped to spread the awareness for Asperger’s Syndrome.
Andrew Reams has spent most of life searching for elevators, both old ones and new ones, looking for unique and different style of lifts. The 36 year old has recently begun videoing his journeys in the lifts and turning them into short films, which can be found on YouTube.
Travelling and venturing into different lifts is nothing but a hobby for Andrew, as is train spotting for some; but as we mentioned earlier, he is helping to spread the awareness of Asperger’s Syndrome. Andrew believes that around 90% of people who have Asperger’s share the same enthusiasm and love for lifts as he does. And as well as his short films, he is coming face to face with other passengers.
Elevators Ltd would welcome Andrew anytime for a trip in one of our lifts and we’ll even let him observe our engineers whilst they carry out lift maintenance and repair, or lift installation services. We’re sure that Mr Reams would enjoy this very much. If you’re reading this blog Andrew and would like to spend a day with the team from Elevators Ltd, then please do get in touch and we’ll arrange something for you.
